Thanks to the persistence of the newly formed Southern Oregon Comunity Coalition, City agreed to a community job interview of the 2 finalists for Police Chief, held yesterday. (Southern Oregon
Community Coalition is a 5-month old group that links community groups on key issues. The first issue tackled was community policing and the selection of Ashland’s Police Chief.) The community job interview lasted 1.5 hours, was televised live, and posed over 2 dozen community-generated questions to the 2 candidates.
