To recoginize the “4th anniversary of this crazy, crazy war”, a Rally, March and Peace Summit is being organized. Citizens and progressive groups are invited to join CP&J on Saturday March 17 in Medford.

The Rally begins before 11 AM, protesters will gather at the intersection of Riverside and Barnett in Medford. By noon the group will march the the Main Branch of Jackson County Library on Central Ave. They will be met by the Rogue Valley Peace Choir who will welcome marchers with song.

Citizens are invited to a Peace Summit in the library public meeting room. The summit will kick off by 1 PM. Invited speakers include Mike Green, a local against the Iraq war, speaker from Veterans for Peace and a speaker with Goldstar Moms.

There will be a forum discussion to “make plans for achieving peace.” Cellphones will be available to encourage calls to Washington DC. A Cost Of War display will allow people to vote their own funding priorities.

A film featuring Molly Ivins will be broadcast on March 1st. It was filmed when Ivins spoke at the Medford Armory in October 2003. It has only been aired one other time. The film will be aired on March 1st at the Congregational Church in Medford at 7 PM.
