The League of Women Voters of Ashland will kick off their new year with an
election forum on the school bond and the candidates for the Parks &
Recreation Commission on Thursday, September 21, from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30
p.m. at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way (across from Lithia
Park). A brown-bag lunch begins at 11:30 p.m., followed (at 11:45) by a
presentation with Julie DiChiro on the proposed school levy, and the Parks
and Rec. candidates.
Additional LWV of Ashland election events include an October 11 forum,
highlighting Ashland City Council candidates (co-sponsored with the Ashland
chapter of the American Association of University Women). This will take
place at the City Council Chambers from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be
televised on RVTV.
On October 19 there will be a meeting on the statewide ballot measures, as
well as a forum for candidates for Municipal Judge and City Recorder. This
meeting will be at Pioneer Hall from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
These meetings are open to the public. The League ³encourages the informed
